Day 28 of Pinterest ~ Cookie Exchange

Welcome to Day 28 of

As we wind down the month-long adventure of Pinterest, I’m excited to share a few dessert recipes that I’ve found and now considering for an upcoming cookie exchange. My book club meets next Saturday for our regular monthly gathering and book discussion, but we’re adding a potluck luncheon and cookie exchange for the holiday season. Lord willing, I will also bake a batch (or two) of mini-cupcakes for everyone to enjoy as we eat and discuss this month’s read: The Red Tent by Anita Diamant. Which, by the way, is an excellent book and I highly recommend it.

Do you have a favorite cookie recipe that you always use for holidays or special occasions? Do you participate in a cookie exchange?

4.      Orange Zested Cookies with Sweet Orange Glaze by Stephanie’s Kitchen

5.      Red Velvet Shortbread Cookies by Recipe Girl

6.      White Chocolate Peppermint Cupcakes

I can say for certain that the orange zest cookies are delicious. I made a batch last weekend when I was supposed to be packing for our trip to KY and cleaning the house. I eventually finished baking and packed our necessities, but not before tucking a few of those cookies in my carry-on bag. Fortunately, TSA security at DFW Airport did not take them away. Lucky for me, they tasted even better at 37,000 feet altitude!!!!!!!

Day 20 of Pinterest ~ Cupcakes Galore!

I made four dozen mini-cupcakes yesterday (mostly for a youth bake sale at church) along with a cookie recipe I’ll share later. The more I use my Babycakes Mini Cupcake Maker from Select Brands ~ thank you Love From The Oven~ the more I love it! I definitely suggest it for anybody that enjoys baking, especially with the approaching holidays. If you have someone on your list who “has everything,” buy them a Babycakes.

It’s Day 20 of ……

Go ahead, pull on your fat pants. You’re gonna need them. Just looking at these pictures are packing on the pounds.

Because I’m so nice and not only want to share these pictures with you, but I’ve included a link to the recipe as well from each blog or source. Go ahead, bake a batch right now. Enjoy!

Cupcakes In A Cone ~ Love From The Oven

Cupcakes baked in an ice cream cone? Ab-so-flippin-lutely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How genius is this? My friend Christy, baker-exordinaire at Love From The Oven, created these little cuties from regular and miniature ice cream cones. Seriously, she poured the batter right in there and VIOLA! you have a cupcake in a cone. Sweet Baby Jesus.

Peanut Butter Cupcakes ~ Hoosier Homemade

These peanut butter cupcakes from Hoosier Homemade look absolutely delicious. I know a particular Somebody that would adore a few (or 20) of these!  Heck, I’d like to have a few of these myself. The mini Reese’s cup on top just sets it off. I’m in love.

Margarita Cupcake ~ Goodbye Gluten

Holy Mother of Tacos!!!!!!!! Does it get any better than a cupcake with alcohol? I’m not a tequila fan, but I definitely want to try these ~ thank you Goodbye Gluten for the Margarita Cupcake recipe! I like the idea of sprinkling of sugar on the edge to mimic the rim of a margarita glass. However, I personally believe everything sweet needs something salty ….. so I would use salt instead. But just a little.

White Chocolate Peppermint ~ Bake Your Heart Out

I love white chocolate. Wait, let me rephrase that. I used to love it. Since my milk allergy diagnosis, I have yet to find a variation of white chocolate made WITHOUT milk. But that doesn’t mean I don’t drool over my laptop when I see a recipe like this for White Chocolate Peppermint Cupcakes from Bake Your Heart Out. I might surprise the ladies at book club with a batch of these for our next gathering. I think peppermint is holiday-ish, don’t you think?

Tiramsu Cupcake ~ Le Petrin

There is a lady that would probably squeal in delight and kiss my cheek if I presented her with a Tiramsu Cupcake from Le Petrin. This is her favorite dessert. Ever. Who knew that you could also make the Italian dessert in cupcake fashion?  I think these are adorable. And classy. And I want one. Or four.

Alright, I’m hungry now.

Do you have a favorite dessert?
